If I am on the deed but not the mortgage of my home, what are my responsibilities in terms of a foreclosure?

Question by JS: If I am on the deed but not the mortgage of my home, what are my responsibilities in terms of a foreclosure?
My partner and I have lived in our home for 10 years. Originally, we were both on the deed and mortgage but the last time we refinanced, we did it her name only because we got the best rate that way. Now we are separating and I’m leaving the home. What are my responsibilities in terms of the mortgage if she goes into foreclosure?

In terms of the mortgage, none, though being on the deed may trash your credit. You may want to quit claim your interest to her to be totally free.
