Mortgage Refinancing Blog is an independent publication operated by Nightbard LLC (“Nightbard LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our guides are researched and produced by our editorial team, referred to here as the MRB Team.
Who we are
Mortgage Refinancing Blog is published by Nightbard LLC and produced by the MRB
Team — an independent editorial team that researches and writes guides on mortgage
refinancing. We are an organization-led publication: our work is the product of research,
writing, and editing by our team, rather than the personal column of any single author.
Our mission
Refinancing decisions are some of the largest financial choices most households make, and the
information around them is often confusing or sales-driven. Our mission is to explain how
refinancing actually works — the programs, the costs, the trade-offs — in plain
language, so homeowners can make informed decisions and ask lenders better questions.
Who we serve
We write for everyday homeowners weighing a refinance: people comparing rate-and-term and
cash-out options, looking into FHA, VA, or conventional programs, or simply trying to understand
whether refinancing makes sense for them. We are not a lender, a broker, or a rate-quote service.
Our independence
We are an independent publisher. Our editorial decisions are made independently of any
commercial or advertising considerations. We do not currently display advertising; if we
introduce it in the future, it will not influence what we write or recommend, and ads will be
kept clearly separate from our editorial work. You can read more in our
Advertising Disclosure.
How we work
Every guide is researched from authoritative sources and reviewed by an editor before it is
published. Our approach is described in our Editorial
Standards and Sourcing Policy.
